Our Journey to Howrah Rail Museum
Like many of our travel adventures, this trip started with a simple idea—to explore a place that many people pass by but very few actually visit.
Since the museum is just a short walk from the new complex of Howrah Station, reaching it was extremely convenient.
Even before entering, the peaceful atmosphere was a pleasant surprise. Outside the station, thousands of passengers rush every minute, but inside the museum compound, everything suddenly becomes calm.
The greenery, heritage buildings and vintage railway engines instantly transport you back in time.
First Impression
The first thing that caught my attention was the beautifully preserved steam locomotive standing proudly inside the museum.
It is impossible not to stop and admire its massive wheels, giant boiler and classic engineering.
For railway lovers, this is a paradise.
For photographers, it’s even better.
